kinda just a weird coincidence that Envy Adams looks like Misa from Death Note in the Scott Pilgrim movie. Her hair in the comic was actually inspired by Asuka from Evangelion. (I used to draw Eva characters aaaallllll the time in high school) In the movie they made her blonde and she looked just like Misa (admittedly) but I don’t think anyone intended it. Death Note wasn’t even coming out in english until i was already on volume 3 of scott pilgrim… I never saw the similarity when I was reading it. ps Misa suuuuuuuuuuuucks as a character ha ha ha

(he has been the chef at a really cool place called Zocalo in the Junction and now he’s starting his own place!) Coloring process shot on what became the most iconic drawing of Ramona. Everyone always cosplays this with bright pink shorts, but I originally saw them as much darker… oh well! I love seeing all the variations people come up with — denim jackets, leather jackets, hoodies, gloves, shoes… I love my cosplayers u_u;

This is the London premiere. And it’s mislabeled… they forgot Satya, and Mary (tall and hidden behind Edgar, she was wearing colossal heels), and Brie Larson (beside me), and Michael Bacall (at far right). And they listed Aubrey Plaza, but she isn’t in it. After this premiere we all went to Chris Evans’s apartment (he was shooting Captain America in London at the time) and stayed up until 5 am giggling like schoolgirls. Kinda the end of an era. I think the date was August 18, 2010.
